I believe the folks at Purdue have also developed a free software package that's available on their site, but the name escapes me at the moment.įrom: cytometry-bounces at On Behalf Of Guy Hermans Note, I don't think Cyflogic is being updated anymore, and it's been a while since Flowing Software has been updated. There was a discussion a year or so ago about free software on this board, so you can search for free software or even search for Cyflogic and see that discussion. That's what I remember from a year ago when I was testing the software out. Cyflogic uses software compensation values saved with the FCS 3.0 files (easy to use if you compensated correctly) and it can be adjusted in the software, Flowing Software does not use saved compensation values, so you have to compensate that yourself. I found Flowing Software a little hard to use and found it difficult to properly do compensation, though that was over a year ago, so it may have improved by now. If you used WinMDI for FCS 2.0 files, then Cyflogic will make sense as the interface seemed similar enough to me. I like this better than Flowing Software, but I think the same group that made CyFlogic makes Flowing Software. Since FCS Express isn't free and is in the same price range as FlowJo, the free software that I have recommended is Cyflogic, available from.
